Melissa Clark is Director of Marketing Strategy for Dermatology at Novartis Pharmaceuticals Corporation in East Hanover, NJ. Her passion lies in enhancing the lives of patients and improving their health outcomes by understanding them on an emotional level. She has partnered closely with her agencies and real patients over the years to understand their needs and uncover insights that have led to award-winning educational initiatives to help better their lives.

Melissa has led Consumer Marketing strategy across multiple COSENTYX indications over the past 6 years. This includes the launch of the WATCH ME DTC Campaign for Psoriatic Arthritis and Ankylosing Spondylitis and the launch of the first Branded Celebrity Campaign with Cyndi Lauper for the SEE ME Campaign in Psoriasis, which earned several DTC awards. As part of the COSENTYX Customer Experience Team, Melissa was Director of Onboarding & Adherence (O&A) across all indications and customers, where she led a team of marketers to enhance the O&A experience for patients and providers. This is an area she knows well, as she previously led the award-winning BP Success Zone program in the CV Franchise at Novartis. Most recently, Melissa led the newest Omnichannel SEE ME HOPE Psoriasis DTC Campaign which launched in Oct ‘23, featuring Cyndi Lauper performing her song HOPE, along with fellow patient advocates Gary, Nadia and Jordan.

Previously, Melissa served as Director of Digital Medicines and led Digital Marketing and Social Media for the launch of the GILENYA HEY MS, TAKE THIS Campaign. She led a dynamic team of marketers who pioneered the first social media efforts at Novartis. She then applied this expertise to the successful launch of ENTRESTO for Heart Failure. Melissa has held diverse positions at Novartis, Pharmacia and Pfizer in Brand Marketing, Media, Digital, Social, Innovation and Professional NPP, across multiple therapeutic areas. Over the past 20+ years she has led initiatives that contributed to the success of over 12 major Pharma brands. She has been named as a Top 25 DTC Marketer of the Year, and in 2019 was a PM360 Elite Winner for Best Marketing Team of the year for the launch of COSENTYX in Rheumatology.

Melissa earned her MBA from Wake Forest University and her undergraduate Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications and Advertising from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Outside of work, she and her husband Ken stay busy with their two children Caroline and Kevin, sharing their passions for Equestrian, Theater, and Music. She also enjoys traveling, skiing, hiking and spending time with family and friends.
