Currently serving as the Director of Marketing for Patients and Caregivers in Ophthalmology at Genentech, Erin Echter leads a dynamic team collaborating with cross-functional, regulatory, and agency partners to develop and execute go-to-market patient and caregiver DTC omnichannel strategies.

Erin has over 15 years of experience in marketing, consumer insights, and product innovation across diverse industries including pharma, healthcare, personal care, and food But her true passion is rooted in all things patient – how they think, how they feel, how we connect to them, how we educate them, and how we empower them. Erin’s dedication to consumer-centric approaches has been instrumental in the successful launch of seven different brands, including the most recent blockbuster launch – VABYSMO – a first-in-class bispecific therapy revolutionizing the treatment of those suffering with vision-threatening retinal diseases. Under Erin’s leadership, the team executed an authentic omnichannel DTC campaign, educating millions of patients and caregivers and empowering them to engage in conversations with their doctor resulting in better vision outcomes.

In her spare time, Erin loves to workout, bake donuts, host wine parties with her husband, and explore new adventures with her three young kids: Ellie (11), Grayson (7), and Griffin (5).
