Sarah Hansen brings over 20 years of experience to her role on the HPP patient marketing team at Alexion, AstraZeneca Rare Disease. As a pediatric ICU nurse by trade, Sarah has built her career on identifying and understanding the critical steps in the patient journey and finding ways to improve patients’ pain points. After making the switch to industry, Sarah spent nearly 10 years in support services as a case manager — ensuring that patients with rare diseases receive the support that they need. A deep problem solver with a knack for helping others, she has seamlessly transitioned to a marketing role, where she continues to support rare disease patients and lead adherence work in her respective disease state.
