Vice President, Marketing and Public Affairs, Penn Medicine Princeton Health
Carol Norris-Smith is the vice president for marketing and public affairs at Penn Medicine Princeton Health. She is responsible for providing strategic direction to the organization’s comprehensive marketing, public relations and community wellness programs. Ms. Norris-Smith has been with Princeton Health for 22 years and was named as a Top Hospital Marketer of the Year in 2018 by DTC Perspectives.
Under her direction, Princeton Health’s marketing programs have received more than 70 national, regional and statewide awards, including a Silver Anvil Award and a Silver Anvil Award of Excellence from the Public Relations Society of America. Community Wellness has provided nearly 25,000 screenings, lectures and other programs since it was established 15 years ago. Ms. Norris-Smith has spoken at national marketing conferences, including the Forum for HealthCare Strategists and World Congress.
Ms. Norris-Smith was formerly Director of Public Relations at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children in Philadelphia. She directed all public relations activities of this 183-bed pediatric hospital and managed an aggressive media relations program that resulted in an average of 700 significant local, regional and national media placements annually. Ms. Norris-Smith also supervised the hospital’s involvement in all special events.
Ms. Norris-Smith received her bachelor’s degree from Temple University, Philadelphia.
