Vice President and Head of the Content Lab
John von Brachel, VP, Head of the Content Lab, leads the discipline across the Integrated Marketing Organization designed to bring audience-focused storytelling to life and improve customer experience, at scale and across US Innovative Medicines. The Lab sets content standards and guidelines to drive deeper engagement and deliver against brand business objectives with efficient processes and performance-minded creative.
Prior to joining Novartis, John was the SVP, Content Marketing Executive, managing Bank of America’s Content Center of Excellence. In that role, John oversaw enterprise-wide content strategy, the integration of content programs across the company and the tracking and measurement of content marketing success. Prior to joining Bank of America, John was a Group Managing Editor at Time Inc. John joined Time Inc. from Individual Investor magazine and, prior to that, he lived in Europe as the Foreign Correspondent for Faulkner and Gray. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Poetry under David Smith at Virginia Commonwealth University, and is a graduate of New York University’s Master’s in Science Program in Publishing. When not at work, you’ll likely find John hanging with his family on Long Beach Island, or running along some tree-lined road somewhere in New Jersey.
