Stephen Zubrod serves as Vice President for Marketing & Communications for Mission Health in Asheville, North Carolina, now the North Carolina Division of HCA. He has more than 25 years of executive experience in corporate marketing, branding and public relations, including brand management positions at Hallmark Cards, Dial Soap and Nature Made Vitamins. Prior to joining the Mission Health team in 2017, Stephen was the Vice President of Marketing and Chief Marketing Officer for Methodist Health System in Omaha, Nebraska.
He earned his bachelor’s degree from Princeton University and his master’s degree in business administration from Boston College Graduate School of Management. In 2016, Stephen was named to the third annual class of Top Hospital Marketers of the Year by DTC Perspectives, Inc., the leading conference, training and publishing company for the consumer marketing of hospitals, pharmaceuticals and healthcare products.
Swimming is a lifelong passion for Stephen and he is an avid Masters swimmer. He was honored as Marketing Professional of the Year by the Public Relations Society of America for his work on the U.S. Olympic Swimming Trials Marketing Committee.
He and his wife, KC, live in Mills River, and they have two adult children, Brendan and Kara.
